Okay so genuinely today has been one of the happiest/saddest days of my life and I just want to rant about it so if you don’t like really long paragraphs of people venting feel free to not read it lmao
          
          So today I got justice for myself and my rapist was finally put behind bars after 2 years since the incident it sent happy chills through my body watching the police officer take him away knowing that he can’t hurt anyone else like he did to me. 
          
          His daughter came up to me as I was leaving the court house and apologised for what her father did and said genuinely thanked me, I was surprised to hear her actually say “thank you” after i was the cause her father wasn’t around anymore but then it all clicked in my head why she was thanking me. I could wonderful for hours about what he did to her, disgusting pig.
          
          I never really came foward about the incident right away after it happened, it was 3 months after was when I told her. I remember her crying on my shoulder and listening to her apologising for hours on end.
          
          “I’m sorry I wasn’t there to protect you” “I’m a bad parent” we’re some of the things she was saying and it was genuinely heartbreaking to see your mother cry, and what made it even worse was knowing I was the reason.
          
          She sat next to me in court holding my hand making me feel comfortable, I was happy she was there and I know she was quite disgusted seeing the guy who stole her daughters virginity without her permission, (I only know this because she said it when she wasn’t happy with the time he was given by the judge) 
          
          I’m sorry if you have ever been in my shoes and that you even had to live with that just know I’m here to talk, thank you for reading my loves

My Grandmother constantly calls out my younger sister for the clothes she wears "That's gonna get you Raped and Killed" "You look like a slut" I dont agree with her at all but if I am honest the clothes she wears are a little inappropriate for her age. But recently I had an encounter with someone, sexual assault if I'm honest but I kind of deserved it I did say a few things about his appearance but back to my original thing when that happened I was in sweatpants and a hoodie barely any skin showing that just proves that it doesn't matter what you wear. You rock that outfit Girl! Wear it with pride and dont let others bring you down because of what you are wearing but still stay safe! <3
