I find that being gifted is a little bit of a curse depending on how your parents are because some (emphasis on SOME) people and parents place too high expectations on you especially if you're a gifted kid.
‼️ GIFTED KIDS CAN STRUGGLE AT SCHOOL TOO. ‼️
Just because someone is gifted outside of school (aka really smart, knows a lot of facts about a certain thing, asks lots of questions etc.) DOESN'T mean they're good at school. They may even have low grades.
Also, just because a kid has symptoms of being smart doesn't mean they are. It's unfair to place very high expectations on them expecting them never to fail. They're still a kid.
I haven't personally struggled with this as my parents only put pressure on me (not too much) to get good grades so I can get into better schools and jobs (grateful they don't push me into nursing though) but I just wanted to say this lol.
