Now that I've seen the series finale and what the scope of the show/plot is, I hope I can get the motivation to write more for Courting Chaos.
Might go through the couple chapters out and rework them first. (I know i just reposted them after a quick edit... but I'm gonna edit them again!) I just wanna do a bit of a tonal change.
Today I found out that ICE Agents are called "Homeland Defenders" on official job postings...

@-arcadia truly insane. And yeah I do remember that with Superman. Like blind or dumb are the only two options at this point. Sometimes both. My anxiety is always through the roof these days...
@-arcadia people are idiots, remember when Superman came out and conservatives couldn't comprehend what was blatantly written for them? They ACTUALLY thought it was just a movie. and tbh for writers it's fairly easy for them to predict what will happen because all these events has happened before but the administration just never learns from history. things aren't any better here in the UK, bunch of clowns went on a racist march and vandalised a van for some reason its insane
@sourmuse and like of course it's commentary of present day society... but like when you're watching a show that has a giant, gaudy, golden statue of a horrible person that's in charge of the country (basically) on a stage at a religious event where they're weaponizing Christianity against others... and then 3 days after the episode airs, the same situation plays out in real life... at what point do these people realize they're not the good guys? That plot line was written WAY before it happened for real and the creator of the show thought it was a wild concept when he and his writers created it. Unfortunately our world is stranger than fiction in this regard and I'm over it. I can't tell if the writer's room is predicting the future or if someone in the administration is taking notes from the show anymore...
More and more I relate to everyone's need to turn off their humanity in tvd...

I just saw comments on a story I was reading and the commenter literally said that when the author didn't update for a while and they wanted more, they used chat gpt to continue the story for them on their own.

I didn't know this possibly needed to be said until now, but just in case, do not EVER put my works and my writing into any generative AI! It's already bad enough that authors and writers are getting accused of using AI all the time when they don't use it because AI has already learned so much from us and dare I say even stolen from our writing samples. I do NOT need our want AI to have any of my writing samples. Thanks.
I know I don't update as often anymore, but that's because I'm a grown adult with other stuff going on. You know what I do when I don't have any new updates to read... I find another story!
If I find out any of my readers are doing this, I will block them. I stg learning that some readers do this genuinely takes the joy out of writing for me.

So anyone waiting for an update on Pray for Me...
I lost access to my parents' Netflix account that I use to watch the show. They're coming to visit in mid-September, so I'm hoping to get it sorted out then, but there probably won't be any updates until at least then... I'm approaching some original content areas in the story, so I might skip ahead and start on some of those. But I still have to finish a couple of chapters before then and edit before I can start posting again.

@xoxfaeriewings yeah. We were rigging the system for a while and I had their account connected to my phone number and then my dad's email so that we could change the household back and forth (especially since we're on different work/sleep schedules). But randomly when I came back from a work trip last month, it stopped giving me the option to send the code to my phone and my dad's email won't go through unless he's visiting me in my state (aka their old residence). So it's all a cluster rn and we're probably just gonna set it up for 2 households.

I'm cursing my niece for getting me into Demon Slayer: KNY bc while it's so good and I'm enjoying the show, I'm already so attached to characters that are constantly put in danger or killed and like why did I do this to myself???
No one can ever accuse me of using AI to write.
If I did, it wouldn't take me so long to update, lol.
