still wondering how fanfics with shitty ass grammar and cringey asf storyline get so many reads and how so many good fanfics remain underrated.

[ @Altered_Alex ] ah, yes, self promo. forgot about that. and fr, when I first joined wp and was looking for fanfics, I read the ones with like, a million reads. but after reaching halfway into the story I'd be like, "ayo wtf why am I still reading this shit?" and I've seen so many good stories and they have like, barely a thousand reads.

@-blushychim You know, I've always wondered this myself. In the end, the only conclusion I come to, is "self-promo". These type of Authors with little to no knowledge on Grammar will genuinely spam people's boards with plug-ins of their stories. I understand that English isn't everyone's first Language, but even my own Native Language isn't English yet that is the only Language I use when I write my stories. Aside from this, the people who tend to write these books are also rather young in their mid teens, so I can also understand that their plot would be a bit difficult to follow along with. But some of them are truly puzzling and don't deserve the attention they get, oppose to those that are hardly ever found by other people.
