            the blonde let out a quiet chuckle at tony’s continued complaints, glancing over at him with a hint of amusement. once, he might have agreed, back when he was skinny and every step took more effort than it should have. his mind flashing to when he used to complain to bucky about going for walks, before their lives changed forever.
            
            “no need to complain, tony,” steve said easily, voice calm but edged with that familiar dry humor, of the iron man, after being told this is physical torture he slowed just slightly, casting a look ahead before adding, “walk like this might actually lead to something worth seeing.” the blonde then went to smirk at the shorter brunette.

            " this isnt a walk" tony mutters " this is physical torture ..." he paused " where are we going anyway...i was expecting forest , not a romantic view from a moutain"  the genius arches one eyebrow at the blonde soilder.

            steve huffs out a quiet laugh, not even trying that hard to hide it. "oh, come on, tony… you volunteered for the walk. i distinctly remember you saying, ‘how bad could a walk be?’"
            
            he glances over, a small, teasing smile tugging at his lips. "for the record, i am not laughing at you… i am laughing with you. big difference." a beat, then softer—. "you will survive. i will even slow down for you, if it makes you feel better."

            steve huffed a quiet laugh, glancing at his cards for a moment, thinking how he should reply to his best friend, “cheating? that is a serious accusation, romanoff.”
            
            he tilted his head, a small smirk forming on his lips, going to add the following, “maybe you are just out of practice.”
            
            the captain slid his winning card down a little too casually. “want a rematch, or are you trying to protect your record?” the blonde said going to look up at the redhead, wondering if she would be happy to play another game.
