being an English Teacher is lesson planning at home at midnight because I literally have have zero prep time at work

had my first day as an english teacher today, tell me why i was told i would be shadowing their current temp teachers first to see how the classroom has been lately, only to be left alone with the kids for all of my classes with little to no direction.
