she pointed to herself again.   "  rumina.  "   then stuffed her hands into her jacket pockets,   tilting her head.  "  gone.  "

            Nicolay chuckled quietly and nodded, amused as he looked at Nightwing, watching him quietly.

            "oh, me? i'm never worried," nightwing replied, nose crinkling in a grin. "just so's you know. if it's illegal then i'll shut you down. first warning. you won't get another one."

            Nicolay laughed quietly and looked over at Nightwing. "I'm just here to complete some business, don't you worry,' he murmured, before looking away again.

            "relaxing? what's that? i've never heard of her," nightwing said with a cackle. he glanced at her, only to cut his gaze away and wince when she mentioned 'staying away'. yeah, that was... well, that was fair, okay. "yeah," he said weakly, lifting a shoulder in a fluid shrug. "fair. really? okay. that much i can do, at least," he joked, grin back in place again. nightwing wasn't a drinking kinda guy - and especially not on patrol. if bruce ever found out, he'd skin him alive.

“  you should be relaxing then  ,  dingus  .  “  despite how much she wanted to  ,  cheryl wouldn’t look him up  .  if he was trusting  —  erm  ,  allowing her to know all of this  ,  she wasn’t going to overstep and snoop  .  surprised by his willingness to sit down  ,  she looked over at him with a pause  ,  before giving a small smile  .  “  doing anything would be going against  ‘  staying away  ‘  .  “  she chuckled  ,  shaking her head  .  “  just sit here with me  ,  even for a moment  .  that’s all i need  .  “

            "it happens, once every century or so," nightwing joked. now that all the barriers were gone - she knew his face, his name - thanks to jay - and his age; there was nothing stopping her from looking him up - it wasn't so bad, though he would have preferred to talk to her as dick grayson than nightwing. it was safer that way. "sorry to hear it." nightwing hopped down from his perch easily enough to sit by cheryl, one leg drawn up to his chest, the other dangling over the edge. "anything i can do to help?"
