I like reading any genre (apart from horror) 2.for parents you need  to make a plan based on a few questions (1. are they close to their child? 2. how is their relationship with other and with the other parent, with other relatives? 3. do they have a dark past or positive past? 4. what is their main goal for their family? 5. their personality[for that you can use a mbti test for them to decide :) ]) for aunts they are mostly secondary characters so it depends if they are important for the story or not. it's too long to write it here, so dm and I'll give all the advice you need :))
