            This was also a first time for Alex as he stayed low with her. "Alright we need to recover a special camera, apparently high command needs footage of what the bots are doing on this planet." He whispers to her before he started army crawling across the ground to stay out of sight of the autotons.

            alice  had never  worked on  a covert   mission before -  she found it  odd she was  being  sent instead of  much stealthier  individuals  she knew ,  but  did not  question  it ,  because  no  questions were  allowed .   
            
            she  pulls  the gun she  was given closer  to her  as she  drops to  a crouch  .  she watched the  super  destroyer  leave  low orbit and  sighs rather deeply -  she  was certainly out of  her comfort .

                 The news of her promotion made the slayer draw in a quiet , surprised breath before a proud , excited smile spread across her face.  “ That’s amazing !  Oh my god , I wish I could’ve been there to see it — you’re finally growing up ! ”  she teases with a soft laugh , reaching out to ruffle the woman’s hair just to mess it up.
            
                 “ As for me ?  I’m doing alright , ”  she adds with a shrug and a grin.  “ Not dead yet , so that’s a win.  Same old chaos , nothing really new . . .  but honestly , none of that matters right now.  I’m just really happy to be here— ”

            alice  held onto the  other tightly ,  excitement running in  her bones  as  ivana  spun her  around  .  once  she was  planted back  onto her  feet ,  her  hands  gently  place on ivy ' s  arms  . 
            
            " i ' m   doing  GREAT !  they ' ve  finally  promoted me  -  but  how the hell are YOU !! "  she  asks  ,  lightly , playfully hitting her arm , emphasizing her  excitement  to see  her  dear  friend .

                 The sudden lunge caught the brunette completely off guard , the “ crackhead ” energy barreling into her before she could even think to react.  She stumbled back a step , planting her foot to keep herself upright.  Normally , her reflexes would’ve kicked in instantly — but she was off duty , relaxed , not expecting anything.
            
                 Then her arms were already wrapping around Alice , a wide grin breaking across her face.  It felt like ages since she’d last seen her , and the rush of seeing her again sent her heart racing.  Ivana spun once with the helldiver in her arms , laughing.  “ ALIIIIIICE ! ”  she shouted back , uncaring of any stares they might’ve earned.  “ Oh my god , how are you !?  It’s been so long — I’m so sorry , I haven’t had any time to visit , I’ve been crazy busy— ”
