            it had taken large amounts of focus and energy , but after multiple minutes of struggle , he was down to earth . it felt so strange , yet also felt normal . part of him wanted to believe things were normal and okay , but he knew they weren't , and knew they never would be . that really did tug at his heart . he knew he was dead . 
            
            slowly , the angel began his walk to find .... red particularly . his wings , long and fluffy yet scratched up and almost ' broken ' , fluttered gently as he stepped . he knew for a fact that he looked -- weird . his colors dull , yet even just having wings was odd . he had been lucky enough to get down in a spot near red , probably a 5 minute walk --- as he couldn't fly . he didn't know how , and his wings were in no condition for flight .

          it was strange to know you were dead , obviously . to know that you weren't a person anymore . you were just ,,, gone . but it was exactly how he had imagined it . johnny had always believed in heaven , and only heaven . he had always believed that when you died , no matter what , things were okay . things got better . no matter what you did ,, you ended up pure and happy . and it was almost completely true . though most didn't end up ' happy ' depending of their previous lives , seeing those who had also passed was a plus . seeing family , friends . hell, he even got to see dallas . 
          
          he was ,, certainly upset about not being able to see red and the gang . but in a way , red especially . he had obviously seen her as a parental figure , and that was still the case in his after - life . he knew she was suffering . he could feel it , and it broke him . there was no way he wanted her to be in this much pain , and would do anything just to tell her it was alright . anything . to be a person again , and to go give her the biggest hug his little arms could manage . 
          
          despite his strong emotions , being an angel had a particular perk . it lasted about a week , but he was capable of getting back to the world and interacting with those who remained alive . this was a little quirk he'd found out about just today , and god , it had been the best news that he'd heard in awhile . 
          
          he was going to use it . no doubt .
