hate of any sort has no place in this country and should not intersect with politics. with that being said, the lives lost in countless school shootings over this year and many years previous mean just as much as a man who was publicly shot after spewing his hate to the country during any given time. a man who so strongly believed in the 2nd amendment fell victim to the very thing he spent much of his life preaching about and defending.
if you think anyone is above gun violence, you’re wrong. it affects EVERYONE. nobody is deserving of death, but at the same time, we cannot suddenly act as though we should be any more forgiving of this death in comparison to the countless lives we’ve lost this year due to gun violence alone.
i pity his wife and children who have lost their loved one, but i pity them no more than the mothers, fathers, and siblings, and friends who have lost loved ones in the past year due to school shootings and other gun violence. charlie kirk believed that deaths due to mass shootings were necessary in order to protect our 2nd amendment right.
he looked at dead children as a number.
now, he is just another statistic.
please unfollow me if this bothers you in any way. i will not be censoring my posts to accommodate anyone’s uneducated views. i have sympathy for his loved ones grieving a tragic loss, but not for the man who had no pity over all who have been victim of gun violence in this country, and from the genocide we are avidly supporting in gaza.
