it had been 7 months since it happened. where a heavy fog had draped itself over japan, when it came day and kirishima was left by his lonesome. there was no one to be found, anywhere. no vehicles, no lights changing in buildings, it was as if time simply stopped.

kirishima had been alone for a long time, and it was definitely taking a toll on him. he was seeing things, hearing things, having nightmares. he just didn’t know what to- but he was telling himself it was okay. everything was okay. he was fine with this, maybe he’s just having a nightmare. everyone’ll come back at some point, right?

but for now, he walked. his feet padded against the sidewalk’s cement, his eyes roaming the empty road. it was so.. quiet, and uneventful. he felt hungry, so he was going to ransack the nearest gas station. at least, he was, until he saw something out of the corner of his eye. he froze, slowly turning his head. his crimson orbs landed on a familiar figure, eyes growing wide.

          	“...bakubro?”

the redhead’s eyes were wide, his mouth opening and closing as if he were a fish out of water. he grabbed at the aisle at his side, leaning on it for support. he was.. frozen, he couldn’t quite bring himself to move. but then he took a step forward, and another, until he started walking. then, he started to sprint.

he came to a screeching halt in front of the blonde, to avoid crashing into him. he let out a shaky breath, gaping at the older male. he slowly raised his hands, “bakugou? is.. is that really you?” he gulped audibly, cautiously placing his hands on his arms. he touched at them, as if trying to confirm that he was real. he looked back up at him, his eyes beginning to blur with tears as he gave a sharp-toothed smile. “it’s- it’s you bakubro! it really is you..!”
