[   and  vader—   vader  seethes.  like  a  hot,  burning  furnace,  like  the  planet  he  was  born  upon,  he  scorches  where  he  stands,  the  ground  beneath  him  breaking  out  in  cracks  from  the  force  of  his  rage.  the  hatred  he  holds  in  his  heart,  if  that’s  what  it  even  is  anymore,  runs  deeper  than  anything.  everything.  obi-wan  is  a  reminder  of  his  failure.  obi-wan  is  a  reminder  of  everything  he  lost.  obi-wan  is  the  man  who  he  used  to  view  as  his  father,  even  if  that  was  never  understood  by  the  man  himself.  obi-wan  is  the  reason  he  is  imprisoned  within  this  suit,  a  slave  to  the  emperor.  if  he  had  any  tears  left  to  cry,  they  would  not  be  for  obi-wan  kenobi.  because  he  cannot  cease  being  anakin  skywalker  so  long  as  obi-wan  kenobi  lives.   ]    i  do  not  answer  to  that  name.  it  means  nothing  to  me.

kara always strived to be a good jedi, she wanted to be one of the best. yet she strived even more to be a good wife. she wanted obi-wan to be happy and she wanted him to know just how much she loved him, even if she couldn’t show it all the time. no matter how frustrating it got when it came to hiding their marriage, kara didn’t regret her choice to marry obi-wan. she never would. in fact, she saw it as the best decision she ever made. 
            
            it was obvious the woman was head over heels in love with her fellow jedi. if anyone looked close enough at the way she looked at him, they’d still see that tiny bit of love that she just couldn’t keep hidden. she thought about him constantly, even when she was trying to focus on other things. it was as if he was a parasite that had attached himself to her brain. but she didn’t care, and she certainly didn’t mind it. not one bit. 
            
            kara gave obi-wan a small thank you as he helped her onto the jet, glancing around once she was fully onboard. her eyes landed on the dress and she couldn’t help but chuckle. obi-wan would never turn down an opportunity to see her in a dress, and she knew that for a fact. “of course i don’t mind, dear,” she replied, walking over to the dress and gently picking it up, her thumb rubbing over the fabric.

                  the life of a jedi was not one of ease.  it was full of constant hurdles and changes.  adding a relationship only accelerated the madness.  however ,   obi - wan  would never trade a thing for his marriage.   kara was his sun ,   for he would forever revolve around her.      " i know it was a risk ,  but i could not help myself " 
            
              it weighed on  obi - wan  that he was not able to show his true love for his wife.   the two were madly in love.  she consumed his thoughts every waking and sleeping moment.   how was he expected to deny such a love?   that was what the jedi expected of him ,  but he refused.  nonetheless he did his best to appear as if he followed their attachments rule to the letter.   once they arrived to the jet ,   the hanger opened and he helped kara inside.   it was quite larger than their flyers ,  and one that would not be identified as a jedi craft.  inside were a change of clothes for them.  kara had a black flowy dress with black lace.   he hoped she would love it at least half as much as he would love watching her in it.    " i took the liberty of choosing a change of clothes for us.  i hope you don't mind.  i did my best to choose something you would love "  

the jedi hardly ever got a real break. if she wasn’t on a mission, she was helping train younglings. if she wasn’t training younglings, she was doing extra training with her padawan. she never really got a chance to rest except for at night, which was also the only time she got to spend alone with her husband. she felt awful that her time with obi-wan was full of her being stressed out. she wanted their time together to be happy. she did, however, appreciate his attempts to make her feel better. 
            
            “it feels wrong to hear you call me darling in the middle of the temple,” she replied softly to him, resting her hand on his upper arm after she glanced around them, just ensuring nobody was there, “but i am quite curious as to what these surprises are.” no matter what it was, she was sure she would adore it. if it came from obi-wan, she was sure to love it. 
            
            the jedi took the other’s hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. that was something else they hardly got to do. everything a normal married couple got to do, they didn’t. it was rough having to hide their love, but they still made it through. 

“i do seem to have those quite often,” she teased, giving him a smile for a moment before she laughed, scrunching up her nose slightly. she wasn’t one to boast about herself. it was hard enough for her to take compliments from other people. it was nearly impossible for her to compliment herself. as she looked into her husband’s eyes, the jedi couldn’t help but think about the couple having a normal life, one where they didn’t have to hide. a soft sigh escaped her lips, but she quickly got back to normal. she couldn’t dwell on something that couldn’t happen. all that did was lead to sadness. “you ready to go, dear?” she asked softly, nodding her head towards the direction of their quarters.

                 " splendid idea ,  as always "   our was a word he did not often get to hear.   it always put a smile on his lips.  he wanted to share everything with his beloved.   he yearned for a normal life with kara ,  but he knew the importance of their duties.   kara was a rare jedi ,   one with immense connection to the force.   how could he take her away from this life?   she was capable of helping so many in the galaxy ,  and she proved so every waking moment.    

their hidden love was hard for the female jedi. she wanted nothing more than to show her love for obi-wan in every way possible, but she knew if she wanted to do that, the two of them would have to leave the order. and while it was always a possibility, it wasn’t exactly easy. “let’s get to our quarters before anyone tries to steal one of us away.”
