            there was a long silence as he put his mask back on , sniffling a bit as he made his out from under the bed . he didnt get up , just sat with his back against the bed .

                 He let out a sigh and looked away from the voice , turning slightly to the side.  “ You need to come out so we can talk properly , ”  he said quietly , his voice calm but weighed down with guilt.

“ Oh , so you found it.  I wasn’t expecting you to wander this deep into the fortress. ”  Ivan had spotted Rocky near the greenhouse he’d been working on for over a year.  He wasn’t mad in the slightest;  his voice remained soft and calm.

                 “ If you feel warm and fuzzy inside . . .  then yeah , that’s happiness , ”  he said with a soft sigh , offering a faint smile as he accepted the rose.  “ I haven’t felt that in a long time. ”  He looked down at the flower for a moment before speaking again.  “ I still have room for a few more flowers.  Would you like one planted in your honor ?  I don’t mind. ”
