havenāt been here in a while but i really want to yap about chainsaw man. i recently finished watching chainsaw man + reze arc and it was so interesting and nice. in the 1st season, the way mappa gives off a much more realistic vibe to csm was so different in a good way. and i really love the characters. reze and aki are by far my favs, aside from denji and power. and although i donāt like makima bc i do know her intentions (from multiple spoilersā¦) her character is so interesting it kinda draws me in (?) idk but fujimoto did a really good job of writing her as an antagonist. enigmatic and first appearing as a mysterious character, you later see her intentions which is very cruel i can say (lol), angel devil and kobeni are kinda like me, kobeniās shy and kinda a coward (like me), yet definitely acts the most human, unlike aki who has big goals, kobeni just her siblings to have better lives (bc of her abusive family). angel devil who comes off as lazy, but i guess his point of ānot wanting to workā is very common around us. and rezeās theory of country mouse and city mouse was also pretty interesting for me. i should thank my brother for introducing csm, #chainsawmanchangeslives

and iāve also seen a ton of analysis of chainsaw man. iāve also heard the manga ending which kinda defeats the whole purpose of denji fighting everything, but hey at least his dream finally comes true which is to live a normal life <3 (personally i donāt hate or love the ending, itās just kinda weird for me)

idk why but i absolutely love cortis using āblue lipsā as a metaphor for exhaustion/ burn out. this song being about martinās experience in bighit as a trainee, and using a swimming pool as another metaphor of him staying too long in it (aka his trainee days) and feeling exhausted by everything but still not willing to give up everything heās done just makes me feel a bit sad imo. the lyric āwhile iām drowning and drowningā and ādonāt wanna lose itā is most likely of him saying that heās willing to keep suffering (while iām drowning and drowning) because he believes there will be a light of something rewarding in the end, so he doesnāt want to give up (donāt wanna lose it). trainees are getting much younger and since their trainee days usually starts at the teenage years, they need to sacrifice so much of their youth just to chase a dream when you donāt even know if itās worth it, which is what jamesās line is about: āthis dream feels elusive, but what else do we got? this is what we chooseā another lyric āthis life is such a thrillerā probably is talking about the thrill of becoming an idol one day, with many excitement and unpredictable things that could happen. and the outro of keonho and juhoon. omg. keonhoās line is most likely talking about he feels a sense of regret, but since heās already put in so much effort into it, heās willing to suffer (kinda like how thereās a rewarding end after every blood, sweat and tears they put in) overall, the whole metaphor of using āblue lipsā as exhaustion and suffering in their trainee days is just so beautiful to me. oh martin my sweet angel youāve gone through a lot of suffering with the others just to become the popular cortis today <3
