I'll never understand why some white people after learning that black people can't blush, run to a BLACK author's book about a LIGHTSKINNED person and yell "BLACK PEOPLE CAN'T BLUSH"

@-monicarambeau I’m lightskinned and black and it’s so irritating. And the thing is that I DO blush, and it’s visible (not much, but it kinda is), so I hate having to block, report, and delete comments about characters that I made look like ME be told what they can’t do by people that had nothing to do with the writing process.
