@gl00msp1d3r Yeah if someones going to say 'oh well emo actually started in the 80s' and educate people thats totally rad and im all for that but people who make some big show about how theyre better than people and 'ugh no ones REAL emo anymore!!!' fucking suck. Im yet to encounter anyone trying to educate people on the origins of emo who arent pricks about it. I personally knew about 80s emo way before i discovered 2000s emo because it really isnt as unpopular as you think, like a lot of resources i used to educate myself on what emo was, which ofc not everyone does, talked about and recommended classic emo bands, which is rad. I dont think anyone who listens only to 80s emo/mostly to 80s emo needs to be so bitchy about it because honestly 9 times out of 10 theyre the ones going out of their way to start drama with people for trying to become part of the subculture instead of trying to educate them.
