Am I a bad person for not wanting to be friends with someone anymore?
Like, through the time they and I have been friends, all they've done was criticize me and what I like/don't like, my intelligence and how it differs from their opinion and own intelligence.
I just feel if I tell them I don't want anything to do with them anymore, they'll go off on me and i don't want that.
I just don't want to feel worthless anymore. I want to do my own thing by this person is tying me down to what they like and I'm not sure i can stay friends with them anymore...
Am I a bad person for not wanting to be associated with this person anymore?

if you wanted to let go of that person, maybe you should stop doing those things to other people as well, myself included. but they do sound pretty sh*tty, so i would have done the same :))

no it’s not bad at all! ik how it feels to be shut down by friends a lot and if they’re doing that to you to the point where you feel like you can’t stand,, then please do tell them. ); you’re entitled to your opinion, your beliefs, and your aspirations! no one should make you feel like any of those things aren’t worth your time. <3
