i also just remembered how i wrote franny at the beginning of s1. WHY would she care about a man in the first place? My whole aim for s2 was to bring the vibe of s1 franny back after her little break at the end of s1 so what if after her stay in birmingham, she finishes things with Henry due to his standoffish behavior he had toward her for those 7 months in London?? and then for s2 franny can just be franny (no boys) but Reggie is still secretly in love with her. back to the “why would she care about a man?” when John got married, she basically said that wasn’t on the cards for her in the near future and if we keep henry x franny written in for s2, they’ll have to get engaged as that was my original plan. during writing this it’s given me idea so thanks for listening to my rant.
i may or may not have just thought of a plot idea when thinking about if Franny chooses Henry or Reggie and now i’m torn. I always loved the idea of a Solomon’s brother x Franny cause like it’s kinda drama for the brothers but then i introduced reggie to the story and now idk. And at the beginning I wrote Henry to be kinda manipulative and then changed it slightly but now I can’t shake that perspective of him idk. I just can’t see Henry being a good guy, not with him being a Solomon’s and being a big business owner in London. It just doesn’t feel right. Pls help.
New chapter (first chapter of act 2) out for Headlock
It’s been a little over a year since my darling Francis Shelby.
I’m not sure if i’ve mentioned this before but why is it that in peaky we see the impact of the war on Tommy and Arthur but not on John? I feel like as a character, he was pushed aside for a lot of things. We didn’t see him with his children, we didn’t see his children that he had with his late wife, we didn’t see any lasting impact of the war on him?
@-shelbysecret- I think of this every time I rewatch! They missed such a great character development opportunity, its something as viewers we would've loved to see explored and another way that his character wasn't given what he should've been given.
@-shelbysecret- forever robbed of johns storyline, he was the youngest of the three to go to war, he lost his wife who we barely learnt anything about and then we don’t get to see any of his kids grow up or have major roles?? grieving what we could have had tbh
