a sourness entered his mouth as soon as he took the first sip of his drink. it was purely human and still it didn’t taste as good as he remembered it would. the beer that made his face twist and slightly turn, pushed to the side with his head that shook from side to side. maybe human drinks weren’t for vampires to try. it was only for the alcohol anyway, sometimes drinks and food tasted like dust then it’s flavor.
“ hey. “ he called to the other with his finger raised, chipped black nail polish giving a brief show. “ is there anything you’d recommend that doesn’t taste like complete and utter shit? “

Jaden rolled his eyes, placing the wine back in it's case, then slotting it back on the shelf. He grabbed a freshly polished shot glass and poured the man a shot of bourbon, before sliding it over.

"Any particular reason you're here, drinking on your own?" Jaden asked, leaning against a wall.

venatory

@-stnskate ╱ a brow raised as his eyes turned to the bottle of wine. it reminded him of his human days, enough to make him frown. head shaking as he leaned back with a deep sigh escaping his throat.
“ definitely not having wine mate. “ his hand slightly waved back and forth as if dismissing the bottle. “ bourbon, a shot of it. “

Jaden was far too tired to argue with rude customers. He reached up to grab a bottle of their finest wine, before turning to face the man. "That depends," he spoke, cockney accent shining, "how much are you willing to pay?"

No. I disagree. Respect is earned through fear, not through gestures of kindness.

"Adan," Jaden spoke, his tone firm. He placed a hand on the older man's upper arm, tilting his head. "Explain it, so I can understand, then," Jaden murmured, maintaining eye contact.

Adan just stared at him. Young and naive, he didn’t really understand what he was talking about. His approach wouldn't earn him respect in this line of work, but Adan chose not to argue and avoided a heated discussion. " Whatever you say, " he muttered.

"I'm not saying that fear isn't a good tactic, I'm saying that sometimes, it's better to choose the less violent option," Jaden rolled his eyes, looking up at Adan. He crossed his arms over his chest, hair falling gracefully over his face.
