            she smiled softly when he said that it was easy to talk to her.   “ well, i appreciate that.  thank you, ”  the girl said.  she saw the way he perked up at her suggestion, and sincerely hoped her idea would work.   “ i could try to look inside your mind.  when i find what’s been keeping you awake at night,  i could use my powers to suppress it and keep you at ease.  it won’t make it go away forever,  but it would make it a lot easier for you to sleep,  and it would make the nightmares come a lot less frequently, ”  wanda explained.

            “  it’s  alright  ,  it’s  not  your  fault  wanda .  .  .  i  know  you  go  through  the  same  thing  ,  prob’ly  why  it’s  so  easy  to  talk  to  you  .  ”  a  rather  rare  sympathetic  smile  came  from  him  ,  and  it  was  genuine  .  suddenly  ,  bucky  perked  up  at  the  suggestion  .  “  sure  ,  what  is  it  ?  ”  the  brunette  man  knew  what  he  had  suggested  on  his  own  surely  wasn’t  good  for  him  .  but  he  didn’t  have  any  other  idea  to  help  his  problem  .

            wanda listened closely as bucky told her of his nightmares, which seemed to be getting worse.  “ i’m sorry to hear that, ” the brunette girl said.  she knew how he felt.  memories of hydra and her brother dying still plagued her mind in the night hours.  some nights it was better, some nights it was worse.  they were unpredictable, really.  the witch frowned when he said that he could just stay up all night instead.  that certainly didn’t sound healthy.   “ i have a better idea, if you’re up for it. ”
