          "I should have listened to you and mum sooner, though,“ Damien continued his speech of sorts, which Edmund did not yet know where it was going, "So you will be pleased to know that I will be taking care of it myself from now on. After all, it was my job from the start."
          
          Completely shocked, his younger brother was now staring at him and had stood bolt upright, hoping he had misheard. "Wait, what?"
          
          "You can concentrate on school, your friends and whatever else you want to do." His smile was probably meant to be friendly, but Edmund was now terrified. "Damien..."
          
          Damien stared at him in confusion and didn't seem to know what to make of his unhappy face, which almost looked angry. "You should be happy! After all, you were never really keen to help me."
          
          "You said only when..."
          
          "And I should have taken care of this much sooner," Damien interrupted him.

          She was right, it was theoretically just a scratch, but millimetres could have cost her her life. He would never have been able to reconcile that with himself, because he still saw in her the little baby from back then, smiling back at him from the photo. Far too delicate and fragile for this cruel world. 
          
          In Harry, he saw James instead, his best friend, his brother. He had never been able to avoid it and he couldn't remember the times Remus, even Molly, had been in his ear about not seeing him for what he was not. It was different with Harry, he had to be pushed out of the nest so that he could learn to fly. Even if these words had come from Dumbledore's mouth. 
          
          So much could have gone wrong that night, and yet some of the people at the table had small smiles on their faces and the shock in their eyes had been replaced by a faint glow as Fred and George talked about their new shop. Today's shock was fading, while the next one was already on its way, Sirius knew. But he was alive, just like everyone else at this table, and that mattered more to him at this moment than worrying about what was soon to come.

          "Oh please, what's all this fuss about?" Bellatrix snorted, not seeming to care that she was surrounded on all sides, but at least she had supporters behind her. "Just a stupid little mudblood with the urge to prove herself. Did you want to look good in front of the great Harry Potter? Wasn't that right, sweetie? She doesn't even have a wand!"
          
          "If I were you, I'd hold back a bit, Bella!" a Death Eater with dark hair intervened loudly and began to laugh. "Sirius will rip your head off if you keep talking about his little girl."
          
          Silence reigned for an agonising moment and Serena didn't know whether this information would benefit her or rather seal her fate. As it turned out, it was more the latter. Bellatrix's eyes began to glitter and a sinister smile spread across her pale face. "Oh, Sirius!" Theatrically, she clutched her heart. "How could you not introduce us?"

I was allowed to attend the press conference of “ Deadpool & Wolverine“ yesterday AND I‘M STILL STARSTRUCK. Also I went to the screening of the movie and watched the first 40 minutes and it‘s def worth the watch!!!
          
          Today was also an event and when I got an autograph Ryan touched my hand and Hugh smiled at me while patiently waiting for me to get my pic of him out. I CAN‘T.

          "Who taught you to fight?" a voice suddenly whispered in Serena's ear, making her flinch. She had completely forgotten that someone was still standing behind her and holding her. She pressed her lips together defiantly and gave Damien Hall no answer. He didn't even seem to have been waiting for one anyway and just kept talking after a few seconds. "Was that your father?"
          
          She still said nothing and stared straight ahead, trying to block out the far too close voice and its slight tickle on her skin. She felt him tighten his grip a little and pull her body towards him, "Well, I learnt it from my father, so I would suggest that you don't do anything like that again."
          
          Serena hadn't intended to get into a situation where she had to push Damien Hall into a shelf full of prophecies again. The threat had clearly got through to her, even if it filled her with a hint of satisfaction that he had to say it at all. In this case, he was probably more like his younger brother than either of them would admit, as neither seemed to like being overpowered by a girl. What made her suspicious in this case, however, was the slight amusement in the older boy‘s voice, which should have little place in this situation.

          Serena blinked tears from her eyes and tried to tighten her posture once more. She didn't want to be robbed of the pride she had been born with along with her surname. She knew that she wouldn't survive another attack without breaking. But the others didn't need to know that.

          The way Sirius ran alongside his friends with his wand drawn almost reminded him of old times. The breathtakingly destructive and hellish years of the last war. It had been both the most beautiful and the most terrible time of his still very young life. 
          
          The magic going on deep inside the Ministry was more noticeable the further they travelled, telling them that they were on the right path. Sirius could feel the adrenaline slowly coursing through his veins and fuelling his heart. It had been a long time since he had felt so alive and free. 
          
          But Sirius could hardly savour his newfound freedom. His chest tightened as he thought about what would happen once they had freed the youngsters. He would have to return to his parents' house and endure imprisonment again. The worry for his godson also increased a little with every step. What if they didn't make it?
