━ Bird of the Day,
          
          Long-Tailed Ground Dove.   A species of bird in
               the pigeon family found in Bolivia and Brazil. 
               It tends to inhabit drier (but seasonally wet) 
               grassland, savanna, woodland edges, and 
               scrubby parkland, usually near watercourses.
               Its main diet consists of seeds, and nothing is
               known about the mating habits.   The ground
               dove has a stable population and is listed as
               Least Concern on the Endangered Species List,
               but habitat destruction may become a problem
               in the future.

━ Bird of the Day,
          
          Pink-Throated Becard.   A species of bird once
               classified as Cotingidae or Tyrannidae, but now
               is classified in Tityridae.   This bird can be
               found in Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, 
               French Guiana, Guyana, Peru, Suriname, and 
               Venezuela, where it inhabits subtropical or 
               tropical moist lowland forests.   The population
               is decreasing, but they are classified as Least 
               Concern on the Endangered Species List.

          Cayenne Jay.   A species of bird in the crow
               family, with no recognized subspecies.   They
               are native to Brazil, French Guiana, Guyana, 
               Suriname, and Venezuela, inhabiting tropical
               moist lowland forests, tropical or subtropical
               dry shrublands, and heavily degraded former 
               forests.   These birds have a stable population
               and are listed as Least Concern on the 
               Endangered Species List.

          the people votes don't actually matter.   it
          depends on whoever is on the electoral
          college, so one candidate can win the popular
          (people's) vote and still lose the presidency
          because it isn't up to us.   it's bullcrap, but
          it's the truth.   as afab, now on the non-binary
          spectrum, and someone who doesn't ever
          want to have kids, i'm terrified, and i couldn't
          even vote because my religion tells us to
          remain politically neutral.   i'm scared.   we all
          need to be scared.   but keep in mind that
          the presidency has not yet been won, it's only
          the projected winner right now.

          Winchell’s Kingfisher.   Also known as the
               Rufous-Lored Kingfisher.   A bird native
               to the Philippines’ lowland forests.   It is a
               Vulnerable species on the Endangered Species 
               List, threatened by deforestation, and the
               population is currently decreasing.   This bird
               is known to batter its prey, and nesting has
               been recorded in arboreal termite nests.

          Yellow-Wattled Bulbul.   A species of songbird
               native to the Philippines.   They inhabit 
               subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.
               Their population is currently stable, while being
               listed as Least Concern on the Endangered 
               Species List.
