hi guys!
like many others, i’ve chosen to leave wattpad now. frankly, i have no urge to be on this platform anymore.
one of the main reasons i want to deactivate is because of the use of aesthetics derived from culture. you might’ve known, but i’m chinese, (i apologize for my english in define) and it feels weird to see people writing 我爱你 (i love you) or stuff like that (not limited to only chinese characters) on their bios to make it look aesthetically pleasing to the human eye. culture should not be used for your aesthetics, and i’m tired of seeing that. although i haven’t been targeted, also seeing people care so much about views and likes and all that isn’t what i came here to do: writing. i saw wattpad as a place to relieve my brain from my imaginative story plots but ended up this.
i’m sorry if i offended you, and feel free to disagree. you’re more than welcome to use define (you can take the parts i’ve written and continue them on your own. just notify me if you do please)
