Hellooo, everyone.
I hope you're all doing well.
I'm finally back, and to be honest, I've realized something.
After writing 40 chapters of *Queen's Blood*, there's only **one** person who's been reading the story seriously—not because of Read for Read or Vote for Vote. After 40 chapters, that's honestly not the kind of progress I hoped for.
What's even harder is that this one reader is a silent reader. Even after major plot twists and huge revelations, they never leave a comment or any reaction. I'm grateful they're still reading, of course, but as a writer, it's really difficult not knowing what your readers are thinking or feeling. Sometimes you just want to know if a scene actually landed the way you intended.
And that kind of thing slowly kills your motivation, especially when you've already planned the story all the way to Volume 3, yet it feels like every follow or vote you receive is only because someone expects you to follow or vote back—not because they genuinely enjoy your work.
On top of that, I think Follow for Follow and Vote for Vote have actually pushed me away from my target audience. Instead of recommending my story to people who genuinely enjoy psychological crime thrillers, the algorithm keeps showing it to readers whose tastes simply don't match the book. Since other users with completely different reading preferences voted for it through Vote for Vote, the algorithm assumes those readers are the right audience too—and they really aren't.
So I think it's better for me to step away from writing for a while. I want to spend some time thinking more deeply about the story, everything that's happened so far, the characters, and where I want to take them next.
Hopefully, when I come back, it'll be because I still love telling this story—not because I'm chasing numbers.
