Her brother and father. The only things in the world that mattered to her, were dead.
She was sent in to her mothers custody after this. Her mother was a workaholic and found no time for the traumatized girl. Amber was left to chew on her guilt. She believed it was her fault that the boy’s had died. This guilt combined with her mood swings slowly drove her to the brink of crazy. Her mother noticed and began to fill the girl with meds and verbal abuse. She hadn’t wanted the kids in the first place and now that she had no choice but to take Amber in she wanted to force the girl not to be a distraction from her job. Amber spent the next four years neglected and miserable all while taking abuse from her mind and her mother. After about a year in her moms house, Amber turned to fire. She didn’t want her past to control her so she mastered fire.
When her mother found out she was furious. How could her daughter insult her family like this! Ambers mother had at this point had a bit too much to drink after a rough work day and was unstable. The fire drove her to kick Amber out of the house for good. Amber, terrified, knocked her mom out and made a break for it. She left her mother unconscious and packed her few possessions in a bag. She wanted nothing to do with her old life anymore. She ran to the garage and found a tank of gasoline that she poured around the house. She lit the liquid and watched her house and her old life burn. As fire consumed the wooden building Amber ran into the woods. She was a good runner as she would run daily to clear her mind. That was the last anyone saw of her for a few years until she took on the name Hellfire and began killing for no known reason.
