Dang I just sent a reply and it didn't go through, it was so long Posting it here because it won't let me in the chapter replies!!
Anyways-!!
I completely get it, I'm the same with all my projects too, daily life gets between myself and them along with motivation. It's just how it is, I've talked to many authors and other people I know irl about them and their projects and they're the same. There is absolutely nothing wrong with you, we all have a different pace. :) And I honestly don't mind waiting years, I don't really care when I get a notification when I like a story, and more particularly see a great and kind author! I will wait as long as it takes or just keep a book up because I will wait for a notification just to see if an author comes back, because I want to know if you're okay. I've done this many times and still do, sometimes authors come back and sometimes they don't, and when they don't they either have an update on things, an explantation, or just a plain chapter. Either way, after reading chapters, talking with authors in comments, supporting and enjoying they're work, I tend to get attached. Obviously I don't know you in real life but I do care for you, the same as I do with so many other authors, I want you to be here, you seem like a lovely person and I enjoy your work. :)
So when you or another author makes an update/post, I'm just happy you're alive and I'm grateful for that. Maybe it's just me, I'm aware I'm just a reader, but you're the author and more importantly, a person, I can't help but care. Maybe it's because I'm way too empathetic. I'm not sure.

@blablabla1511 Gosh you are actually so sweet!! Thank you for taking the time to write all of this and encourage me! I'm glad I'm not the only one lol I also just wanna say that I totally agree w you! I love adding new chapters to my books and reading other people's books but in the end, it's the author's choice whether or not they want to continue. I personally think I will continue with my books (even if it does take some time) but I'm not going to feel pressured or forced to update when this is all for fun! Thank you again - This was a nice reminder! :) ♡♡♡

@blablabla1511 Damn, sorry that got so deep and this is so long. I just want you to know that it doesn't matter how long you take, as long as you're okay. These things take time, especially in real life with all the normal burdens. But it is always going to be YOU over the story. Your health is so much more important than a story, no matter how good it is, because while it's a story, you're the author, a person. That comes first. No competition. I'm just happy I know you're here and I just hope you're okay. :) It's good to see you author.
