logging back in after a LONG time only to say the end of the era we grew up witnessing is coming to an end. smudge retiring from odi's was not what i expected really, who next? kane? root? virat?? those 4 practically raised me, when i was a kid in my head fab 4 were like this cute cult of only the 4 best players and everyone else were just there and now i'm nearly 22 and saying goodbye to them-

grateful to have witnessed them at their peak, their lowest their everything's. upset as hell everything's coming to an end soon

You know I was pissed when Virat was sacked from captaincy. I'll be the first to admit that he wasn't the greatest when it came to white ball captaincy, but he didn't deserve what happened.
But today I'm actually glad that Virat is not the Captain. Can you imagine what would have happened if under his Captaincy India got out for 46? The media would have declared him the worst captain and Twitter would have had a field day.
But yeah, even though Rohit is the captain, Virat is to be blamed. Sometimes I hate these people.
If Virat had done remained India's captain until now, he would have probable been dragged through mud, his family threatened and ex-cricketers hounding him. But bcz it's Rohit everything is forgiven.
Sometimes it sucks that some people have to do nothing and yet become the favorites and others can do everything and yet can't even be considered as a favorite.

I don't think it's still fully sunk in we won.
10 years since that night Sanga and Malinga achieved what Ro and Virat had to wait a decade for. 11 years since our last icc trophy and it all came down to a tournament most of us had no hopes in post the 2023 wc finals,
Virat and Rohit's T20i retirement is killing me slowly because 2-3 more years and i might only be seeing them play tests and them bidding goodbye to ODIs as well.
Boult, Warner, Kane....my god we're in the endgame

@_ThatSweaterGirl_ we're in the endgame now

in a few years none of them will play but i'm glad rohit virat and jaddu bid farewell to this format with a trophy and not another heartbreak .
my heart wants them to play forever but my ming knows eventually this era will end .

virat is the one who made me fall in love with this game and the day he retires is gonna be a very emotional one for me
