"The Nightingale"-Kristin Hannah.
The Nightingale was a story beyond words, beyond emotions, beyond my comprehension. This story of two sisters struggling to stay alive, had me flipping every page, uncovering every stone. I have no words to express how awe-inspiring of a story this book is. The characters. What shall I not talk about? There is just so much to say. Isabella's fierceness, her bravery, her courage, her strength and her unbreakable will to do anything and everything to be free. To show that everyone can fight. That everyone will fight to survive. Vianne's character development as a mother not willing to risk her child's life for others to a mother who put herself in every mother's agony and child's wails. Whilst Isabella fighting was out on the battlefield, Vianne was fighting so her children could see the Dawn after the war. The light that would shine after the prevailing darkness.
The Nightingale showed that everyone fights. In one way or another. Some in the warzone and some within their four walls.
Conclusion: It's definitely worth the read.
