I know literally no one is asking for this BUT I've already begun re-writing my Locklyle Fluff Fan fiction and it is already within the first chapter a thousand times better than the original.

Be on the look out! This new updated version of my story will be much better, much longer, and much fluffier than the original! It will be posted as a seperate new story and follow the same vauge plot as the original but be written much better in every way.

@1Lovepsych Ahh!! Very excited!! Can’t wait to read it :>

I've been thinking about taking down my Lockwood & Co fan-fictions temporarily to re-write them. I recently began re-reading the actual books and after glancing at my old Lockwood & Co fan fictions I felt quite embarrased by them. I was so young and naive when I wrote them and so much needs to be fixed. The actual plots are well enough but the grammar, the pacing, the characterization and many of the smaller details are just horrible.

So in the future if my Lockwood & Co stories disappear suddenly don't panic, it's because I'm fixing then republishing them.

@EasierDays I used to be super proud of them all but I wrote them when I was like 11 or 12 and I think I could greatly improve them. I may end up keeping the original versions published since they are my most popular works and instead post the new versions separately since there's so much I'd like to change, particularly with the Trapped Without You and The Pain Within fics. I know some people would be mad if I up and re-wrote them without warning because I'd probably change some of their favorite scenes and dialogue that I personally now find cringy.

@1Lovepsych damn- I thought that maybe the show would be towards adults to teens a little bit. I really hope the production doesn’t seem like something out of a children’s show. And your mom really does have good taste! My mum doesn’t read the type of books that I do but that’s okay.

@EasierDays @addy_lockwoodlover Yes my mom is also a Lockwood and Co fan! She has excellent taste! Also I did some snooping around looking at the people involved in production and I'm a bit worried the show is going to be targeted at very young audiences bc some of the main people involved have only worked on childrens content :/

Why are so many fan fictions written in First Person? I get that we write fan fictions because we relate to the characters and we love them so we want to be as connected to the story as possible HOWEVER I would readily argue that Third Person Omnicent is the ideal point of view for writing fan fictions. Using Third Person Omnicent POV you're able to explore all the characters emotions, reactions, and motivations without limits and are able to tell a more full and detailed story through omniscient narration of the events happening to and around the characters thus creating a more vivid and captivating story.

I know I'm being weirdly analytical about something kinda silly, it just doesn't make sense to me. Even Third Person Limited seems like a better fit for fan fictions as a form of writing so that you can still narrate from a distance and know the inner emotions of a limited amount of characters without revealing the emotions of every single character. Am I the weird one for not writing my fan fictions in First Person? Am I the only person who notices/cares about the PoV fan fictions are written in?? I'm really not trying to be a jerk I just don't understand it.

TLDR: Why are fan fictions typically written in First Person, it seems like Third Person would fit better?

Hey love! Hope ur doing incredibly well! If not, my dms are always open to vent or to just talk in general. I dunno if its just me, but, its easier to tell people you dont exactly know your feelings. Its your decision! Well anyways, love you and stay safe!!

Who here also reads on Webtoon? Cause I read Bastard and most of Home Sweet Home on Webtoon and tonight I finally had a spare minute to sit down and start watching the Netflix adaptation.

It's got a couple of differences from the original (no surprise there) but so far all the major plot points seem the same. I'm actually really impressed with how well the monsters turned out, very accurate to the original works. Defiently worth the watch however if you haven't read the Webtoon but want to watch the Netflix show be prepared to be a bit confused at times.
          (I totally recommend watching it!)
