I am a novelist, screenwriter and life-long Star Wars fan. Like any other fan, I like some Episodes and stories better than others. I didn't love 'The Last Jedi', but there were enough good things in it that I wanted to create a respectful, alternate version that could be enjoyed by both those who LOVED and those who were DISAPPOINTED by the official version of Episode VIII. The result is 'The First Jedi', and I hope it gives you as much pleasure to read as it gave me pleasure to write.
