Well. I will not lie to you. No one in this story has a “good” role. I tried to make most characters realistic as young, “rich” high school students who live in a very prestigious and competitive environment. No one is a complete angel.
Jennie is in fact the protagonist of the story, however, she still has some qualities that most people would read as negative, as do all the other characters. Though, if you decide to continue reading, you will start learning more about her past and what she went through as a child, and you will develop an understanding of why she used act the way she did. Her life story is very important to the plot.
I also want to let you know that this book was not based on any of the kpop idols at all. I originally wrote it as a basic fiction book in 2017 where the main characters name was already ‘Jennifer’. I thought it was cool that they had similar names when I learned about kpop, so I used her. It’s unfortunate that most people choose to give her bad roles on purpose, but in my story, how Jennie acts has nothing to do with her real personality. I am sure she is really a sweetheart <3.
I hope this answers your question! If you have any more I will gladly answer. ❤️
