Welcome to the literary side of 3rdideer.
I know that it's said, that a picture tells a thousand words. The only problem with that is, what are the thousand words and who gets to choose them. To start with, Counting out all of the valid, and the 'just barely valid enough' perspectives available to any given topic is like counting grains of sand in the desert. There are so many different views it's unbelievable. In saying that, some of these perspectives are quite similar in a lot of ways and therefore certain labels are attached to them ( eg. Anti-vaccine, Pro-vaccine, Christian, atheist, Muslim, environmentalist, optimist, pessimist). Labels are not solid perspectives though, they are subjective and change ever so slightly between individuals and over time.
Very often perspectives find a way to express themselves and when they do eventually meet each other anything could happen. The meeting of two minds can be harmonious and beautiful. Something to seek out. Whereas, strong and firmly held ideals can clash. The outcome of the interaction depends almost entirely on the holder of the perspectives attitude. When both holders stand there ground with closed minds, you can expect shit talk; This may come in the form of gossip, illogical ranting, and in extreme circumstances verbal and physical violence. When this happens, it is the act of 'conversation' vibrating in one of its lowest forms. Avoid this at all cost! The contrary approach is to enter an interaction with an open mind full of acceptance; where every interaction can be seen as an opportunity to learn.
