Anyone who claims to be a bts or K-pop Stan/fan and actively engages in in reading/writing/illustrating any kind of smut is a hypocrite who doesn't view the group/artists they Stan as actual people.
That's a very bold statement I understand, but I feel I've comprised a valid argument down below.
For years I was infuriated with reading bts themed smut. So much that all I cared about was their music and the ships. Around the time, Burn The Stage came out I saw that they were real people and I felt dirty. Because I had completely sexualized them.
I've come to the conclusion that if you’re truly a fan of any K-pop group, and solo artist you wouldn't engage in such things as reading, writing, or even illustrating smut, because you know that if your idol were to see it they’d be uncomfortable. You cannot claim to love, appreciate and respect someone and actively do something you know they wouldn't like.
Now I know your thing “if” well that's where I'm going to become the bad guy. I've been on Stan nsfw-twitter for a few months now collecting usernames and faces and any other info can on the bts fandom. I have friends who cover other fandoms as well. I’ve grown sick of hypocrisy. You can't claim to love them and do something you'd know they'd hate. Once we collected enough accounts we’re going to reach out to verified K-pop solo artists and accounts with the information.
What finally pushed me to write this were the nsfw artists. They’re the worst kind. They profit off the sexualization of their idols. They run patreons and cash apps, for people to pay them to illustrate the people they claim to love, respect and be fans yet they literally contribute to them being sexualized. It's wrong and I can't do it anymore.
