Dear Father,
You used to tell stories about how you felt my pain in your body in the exact same spots. When my ear was infected yours was too; when I fell in school your knees were hurt with mine; we always had headaches in the same areas at the same time.
Things have changed now. Tell me, Father, can't you hear my internal screams in your head too? I can't sleep at night—do you? Don't you feel the pain in my heart, the load on my shoulders, anxiety in my veins?
Did we lose our connection as I grew up?
Is that because your love became lesser and lesser, or the distance?
You can't even resist hearing my voice now. A lot of people say you had better be dead; are you keeping on living to keep me alive?
Has your time come to go, but you stay to make me breathe?
Don't you understand your out-of-time breaths drown your life energy, love, and happiness?
Father, if it is time, please go. Maybe I will get through more nights without sleep, but knowing my mom's tears stopped would give me peace.
Father, if it is time, you may go. The life connection between us has ripped. I am independent. I am already living my pain on my own.
Father, if your time has come, you can go. Don't think about my siblings, their schools, and their mindset. I will protect all of them.
Father, you can go. But if you go, who will protect me from everything except themselves?
