I just need to say something. When us Mexicans/Hispanics need help we don't get it but white people have the audacity to be wannabe's and have Mexican themed party's?!?! They dress in bandanas, baggy jeans or overalls, sneakers, flannels, and a shirt or crop top and they call it a trend. But when we wear it we're gangsters or thugs. You can wear it but unless you respect the history behind it. But for all my Mexicans VIVA MEXICO ✊
@ScarlettBlack413 What I meant was that those girls didn't respect our culture and had that party. But for me there's nothing wrong with it unless they respect our culture.

Also, the only reason why this is a national holiday is because some students from Stanford (or some other college) wanted a holiday between Easter and Mother's Day and decided to have it Mexican themed. (My history teacher told me something like that but I don't remember what they said specifically.)
@ScarlettBlack413 It's called Chicano culture which were created by Mexican Americans but they were cholos or cholas it was an outfit because when they wore it it was them "being gangsters" but when white people wear it "it was a trend." In 2019 a group of girls were wearing bandanas, baggy jeans, and jordans and they got called out and hated for it. And American people were telling them "it's a cute outfit." And the Mexican themed party's you can search up on Google and it will come up and also last year on tiktok I saw a group of girls doing it and they also got hate for it.
