And that concludes book one!
I'm not sure how to feel. I posted at the same time every single day for about a month (and scheduled posting wasn't working, so I had to do it by hand), but if there was any algorithm boost, it didn't lead to any readers. So I don't feel particularly accomplished, more just sad and wondering if the effort was worth it.
Oh well. Time to get started on editing book 2!

@A-macaron To be fair, my book is erotica and I'm still struggling. The books that get promoted on here the most are a very specific niche usually, at least from what I've seen. Don't give up though ♥ I've seen other books get plenty of attention. You just have to 'market' it, so to speak, on social media like you do your published work.

@ShaneBlackheart well, I guess that's not unexpected! I was told they promoted consistent posters, so I guess that just isn't true. Also there's no erotica yet so I don't think this site's audience will be interested even if they do see it. I'm just wondering if this is the preferred platform for anyone I might be able to reel in on social media, or if I should stick to ao3. Well, not like I'm doing much else with my time!

@A-macaron Sadly, Wattpad doesn't have any discoverability, it's not you ♥ The best thing you can do is share your story outside Wattpad on social media and get readers to come in that way. It's the only way I was able to get anywhere with my recent book.
