Thanks for voting on my quirky little poem "The Battle". I hope you enjoyed it.

@chiptruax I don't do animated TV, but my kids watched Avatar. They liked it.

I'm a very strong realist, and don't usually enjoy 'stories' with supernatural elements or improbable bodies, because I feel they can - and often do - anything they want.

I need strong characters to identify with in my reading, and the feeling that I'm living a life I would have possibly had given other circumstances. Other people need fantasy and magical realism - which is why we have all kinds.

When I write novels, I do so from a very close third person, right behind the eyeballs of the characters I give a point of view to. Immersive writing is my thing.

I also tend to forget my own specifics, which makes it possible to re-read my own writing with a sense of discovery. Yeah, I'm weird.

@ABEhrhardt haiku is a great form. I do some myself, and my daughter did an entire project in haikus, though I think the nuance was lost on her audience when she presented it. That said, there is a cartoon show called Avitar, the Last Airbender, which is actually very good, even for adults. In one episode, one of the characters finds himself in a parlor where he must converse in haiku. It is hilarious and very clever.

Just seen your name pop up and a mention of a moving home. It's a big effort, even without health issues. I wish you every happiness in that sunny state.
So glad yo see you have Prides Children a full blown published novel now.
I have been a patchy wattpadder too but haven't given up !

@RosyCarmelina Forgot to say: it's 167,000 words, so non-trivial to read.

@RosyCarmelina Good to see you - I notice your name, from time to time, too. I'm working on the second Pride's Children trilogy volume, after a move to California (and downsizing like crazy) that took well over a year. We'd been there 37 years, and putting a life back together is non-trivial. PM me if you're interested in it. Wattpadders get an electronic ARC if they want one, no obligation. I'm very proud of Pride's Children: PURGATORY (hehe).
