Sooooo, I just surprised the kids with a holiday. We’re flying down to Aleksander’s home town. Ideally, we’d be holding Alek’s funeral back in America, but due to circumstances we cannot. This’ll be Gracie’s first time on a plane, so hopefully it all goes well. I cannot believe the kids didn’t notice their clothing slowly going missing (by that I mean me packing it), since we’re quite minimalist and don’t own a whole lot of everything.
This was hard for me to write. I couldn’t bare to include all the graphic details. This will have to do for now. I miss you already A.

A few hours ago, I got a call from the emergency services. Aleksander and Gracie were being airlifted to the nearest major hospital after a car crash. The hospital is in the city, two hours drive away. Aleksander is in critical condition, with life threatening injuries, and Gracie is stable, but in severe shock after being tapped in the crashed car for hours. Beau, Hayes and Freya will be coming in tomorrow morning.
