Okay, I'm at school now and I swear I've never loved my French teacher as much as right now. We have a free period and everyone was playing games and being so loud and it was giving me a sensory overload and I was just in the corner with my hand over my ears and trying not to seem too freaked out to my classmates. But my French teacher could apparently tell what was going on because she made the class quiet down and discreetly asked if I'm okay. (I'm okay now.) I love her so much right now.

@DonTron666 I've never had teachers do this because they've never really noticed. Either that or I had my noise canceling headphones on me to help, but I was an idiot and forgot them today so, yeah.

Has anyone out there with ADHD experienced this too? When you hyperfocus on something and you're really excited and enthusiastic about it, but someone makes you stop so you can do something else and it ruins your mood? It's just so infuriating!!! Like, today I was making a birthday card for my grandfather and I was very excited because I had a lot of good ideas and I love arts and crafts so I was hyperfocusing on finishing it, but my parents made me stop so could take our dog for a walk. I was so grumpy at them, it ruined my whole mood. They were like, "You can just finish it when you get back" and my brain was like, "I am aware of that, but it's not the same and you have ruined this for me."
