A.J. Mayers hails from the border town of Laredo, TX.  He spent his childhood dreaming of writing stories of spaceships and mysteries and turning them into books and movies.  He graduated with a bachelors of science in Radio-TV-Film from the University of Texas at Austin in 2009.  After college, he moved to Hollywood where he has worked in the entertainment industry since.  While writing books, he has juggled working full-time for MTV, Paramount Pictures, and most recently, Universal Pictures, in creative film marketing.  He's also a member of the Board of Directors for an anti-bullying non-profit called Boo2Bullying.  He currently resides in Los Angeles, CA and is the father of a French bulldog named "Dexter."
