Hello everyone! I'm not dead and I am still reading all your comments and replying when I'm able! I've been working on quite a few new stories, finishing none of them, but here's to hoping something new is done by the end of the summer and ready to share with you!

@ALorenaE Okay I see. Can you i don't know show a type of bond forming between Loki, Thor and their other brother? The one who is a guard? Can you also make it so that Odin acknowledges Vithar's daughter? I mean she is his grandchild. Just a thought

I'm considering better developing Sigyn, as she doesn't get much page time and doesn't really do much, other than exist.

Well...guess who started working on a new fic?

It's actually the second fic in a 2 part series and I haven't written the first one yet, so this might take a while before y'all see it, but it's coming, I promise!

I am also steadily working on the update to Flow, I've been working on wrapping up the last revisions for Journeys so I can finish posting that (I discovered there was a plot thread I forgot to tie off, so I had to write a new chapter), and I've been steadily working on original works as well. Those might not make it up here, depending on if I want to try to publish them elsewhere or not. Moments in Unison was up here for a bit, but it didn't get any traction, so I've pulled it and will be pulling it down off the other site it is on as well as it undergoes revisions and turns into a series of 5 books instead of one massive work that is over 200k long. One of my untitled works is still in need of an ending, and I'm also contemplating pulling The King's Prisoner back into revisions so one of my main characters has more of a distinct character - I've discovered he's a little too much like the lead in the untitled one and I want to prod at him a little more to figure out who he is and if I can create a better character out of him.

...and that doesn't count the numerous other original works that I really need to get back to, including two sequels to The King's Prisoner, a story that I really don't know how to describe titled May Contain Actual Magic (and it's still missing an ending as well), and my oldest NaNoWriMo novel, Wind in the Sails, which has a prequel in the works that started as the 2016 NaNoWriMo novel and wasn't connected then, but is going to be now, once I return to it (it was a story that had the US turning into a bit of an authoritarian hellscape and after the 2016 election, a few things I'd written into it seemed a little too possible to keep up with). Those two stories have a sequel coming as well.

So much to write, so little time!

@Deteresko thank you! I love that I'm in the swing of writing right now, even though times are tough for me these days. It is a wonderful way to push forward and I take a lot of joy in it.

I have been getting a ridiculous number of smut link comments on my works lately - please, if you see them before I do, report the comments as explicit. I'm so tired of these popping up. Every account sending them gets muted as soon as they are reported. I'm sorry you all have to deal with this as readers as well. If I knew how to stop it, I would.

If they bother you, you can find me on Archive of Our Own under the name LadyLorena.

Updates to "Flow" are progressing nicely and I'm having a lovely time working on it. The story is shaping up so much more like I'd envisioned it now that I have a little distance between when I wrote it and these revisions.

I don't have a beta for most of my work, so time is necessary sometimes to really let a work settle so I feel less like that same person who wrote it the first time...because after a few years, I'm really not. I've grown as a person, my lived experience is different, and the amount of time I've spent writing has nudged my style a little down the road.

And speaking of down the road, I've started posting "Journeys," my very first Lokius fic. Is this ship I will die for? No. But was it immense fun to write? Absolutely. The boys are gentle, the relationship tentatively, and the arc they travel long and covers so much ground as they grow together. It's been a delightful experience to write this and I hope you will enjoy reading it.

After I finish posting both "Journeys" and "Flow," I will either be working on revisions for "Unexpected," revisiting an abandoned WIP, or starting on a completely new idea where our Asgardian brothers land in Midgard amidst this global pandemic.

Stay tuned, and thank you for reading!

Hello all!

There is a lot going on over here in my drafty old house in this rustbelt city on the shores of Lake Michigan! From end of the year home repairs to bedding in gardens, life is bustling...and it's also NaNoWriMo! Yes, I'm madly working on a novel and am well on track to finish it this year. Yes, it's fic, and yes, it will eventually make it up here.

I am also working on revisions on "Flow," tidying up the ending of "The Archivists of the TVA," hoping to wrap up the revisions of the posted draft of "Moments in Unison" (both here and on Tapas), revising a new original short story, and tackling an deep revision of "Unexpected" (which is going to be a lot of work and probably include some significant changes- if you were thinking of starting in this one soon, you may want to hold off).

Have patience, friends, with family changes, work winding up, some relatively big projects underway, and the daily chaos that is life with kids and cats (all during a global plague), I may be slower to post or respond, but I am still here, still writing, and still reading all comments.

I appreciate every note and vote you all leave.

And whatever seasonal celebration is bringing you joy or peace at the end of this year, may it be happy and bright, even through all the losses and challenges of the past two years.

@Loki_Army616 Thank you! Luck is always appreciated :) Given how odd the world seems to be these days, it sure can't hurt!

"Laugh at the confusion and live for the moments" is a fantastic bit of advice- can't do much else when things are a bit chaotic, might as well find joy in the ride!

Hello, fellows in fandom!
Just wanted to share with you all how excited I am to be nearly finished with the drafts of the final few chapters of "The Archivists of the TVA" and I can't wait to share it with you! Just have to get this epilogue written, let it rest for a short while, and then do revisions and I'll be able to post! Twenty-six chapters total!

And to think this started out as just something that was going to be a series of one-shots, one for each episode of the television show. Apparently I'm incapable of writing short stories right now :) .

Very happy with this story and how it is wrapping up!

ALorenaE

I'm amused that this was supposed to be a series of one-shots and when I went through and added up chapter-by-chapter word counts, I spectacularly failed and ended up with a 71,000+ word count novel instead.

This is, for some reason, funny as heck to me.
It's also almost quarter to three in the morning here and I just finished it probably 10-15 minutes ago. I should probably sleep so I can get up for work in the morning, lol.

@Loki_Army616 Yes, it is! It is one of my favourite of Pratchett's books. In it, Death (who shows up as a character in multiple of Pratchett's books), decides to try out living and he "borrows time" in order to do it. It's a deeply philosophical book as.Death has never lived and learns a lot as he discovers what it means to do so.

Hello everyone! I've noticed quite a few new followers joining lately and I just wanted to send out a warm welcome to those who are new and those who have been here for a while :). I deeply appreciate you all and it makes me happy to see all your votes and comments. I love seeing what in my work speaks to people and I eagerly await hearing from folks l, whether it be on my fanfiction or my original novel.

Hope you are all staying safe and well in these strange times.
