In 2011 I began writing a series of Doctor Who fan fictions that followed the events of season 6 onwards but with an added character. At the time I was 19 and still fairly juvenile, and I feel that that reflected in my writing.
For years now I have attempted to continue the stories, but for one reason or another I kept putting it off. Life circumstances and a lack of faith in myself and my writing abilities were the two leading reasons for the procrastination.
However, I have finally found the motivation to get back to the story of the mysterious Lyra, and with the help of a good friend of mine we are working on improving the two stories I have currently completed.
When these edits have been fleshed out privately, I will be editing the chapters in the stories with the new and improved version of events. I could take the stories down and reupload them, but I think I would prefer to just keep the stories up as they currently are and retroactively input the edits.
The story of Lyra is one I have held close to my heart for about 13 years now, as she has existed in one form or another since 2010. For others, the idea of a story like this may no longer be of interest. But for me, I feel I need to continue and eventually finish her story. If others wish to follow along, you are welcome to do so.
