Im crying I just got sent this text from a boy I've spoken to ONCE "If you can't turn down how bright you want to be, you'll blind everyone. So by doing this, and being yourself. You turned yourself off. So now, nobody can see you. Some, may like it that way. And if nobody ever sees you, its like you weren't even there. You've never mattered. Never left a mark. Because that's all you do. You smile through everything and pretend you're okay. But you're not. You know, and I know. But not even your best friend knows? And why? because then, they'll worry. And you'll have to die out. You're already turned off, and you can't go darker, yet you try to. Because you care, and you see the bigger picture, and the world for what it is. Never for what it should be. Never for how others want it to be for you. After all this time, why stop trying? You're so close to being free. Moving out of your house. You'll go off to a great college for acting, or writing, or whatever it is you do. And you'll meet a great girl to room with. She'll become your best friend. Then you'll meet a guy. Fall in love. Not too fast, not too slow. However you want it, because he loves you that much. Then you'll get married, and your roomate will toast you. She'll thank you for all the times you were there for her, only dimming yourself in that moment, but you'll still shine. You'll get a dog or a cat, move into a great house in your dream city, get your dream job with great pay. You'll break hearts absolutely, but you'll also make some. And from that, boys will become men, and they will finally know what they need in life, and they will find you in other girls who are their own unique selves at the same time. Then, they'll all come back to thank you. Trust me. It'll be worth it. So don't do it. You're in the home stretch. These are our final childhood years, but they're our greatest" And maybe some of you guys wanted to hear that

@ALubalakatika Thank you for this. I just found out that the first people I became friends with I college are actually talking shit about me behind my back, and yesterday they accidentally sent texts to the group chat I'm in talking this shit. It's nice and comforting to see this because since graduating high school and starting college I've been pretty lost in who I am. Thank you again ❤️
