CHAPTER 56 IS UP!!! ❤️
It’s finally here.
We have officially reached the climax of the Tobias arc, and all I’m going to say is…
Tag, You’re It.
This chapter was such a huge one for me to write, and I am SO excited for you guys to read it. Thank you so much for sticking with this story, for coming back with me after the break, and for all the love you’ve been showing The Sound of Silence. It genuinely means the world to me.
Please come yell at me in the comments when you’re done because I NEED to know what you think. ❤️
Chapter 56 is live now.
Good luck.

@AsherAres I personally try to aim for around 1,500+ words for most of my chapters, but I don’t think there’s really a hard minimum. I’ve definitely had chapters where the natural stopping point mattered more than hitting a certain word count. I think if a chapter accomplishes what it needs to and the ending feels intentional, being under 1,000 words isn’t automatically a problem. As for first person, I might be slightly useless there lol. I almost always write in third person just because that’s what feels most natural to me. But I don’t think there’s anything wrong with first person at all. If you’re unsure whether it flows, I’d pay more attention to whether you feel like you’re inside the character rather than constantly having to remind yourself to write “I.” If the POV itself keeps fighting you, you could always rewrite a small scene in third person and see which version feels easier/more natural before committing to the whole fic.

@AMB_Maddie_37 okay , in your opinion how short is to short , because for me I would say anything less than 1000 words is short for a chapter , but I’m not necessarily sure , and also, I’m currently writting in first person pov, and I’m not to sure how I feel about it and if the story flows
