Here is why you haven't heard from me in a while:
I am a teacher living and working in Arizona. I'm not here to talk politics. I'm here to tell you all what the reality has been for me.
And the reality is, Arizona's reopening plan has left a lot of educators scrambling to adapt to a plan that changes from one week to the next.
As it stands I can barely keep on top of my professional life let alone take the time to work on any of my creative endeavors.
As it stands I can barely manage to keep myself from lapsing into panic attacks when I come home every night and try to imagine what the next day might bring.
I want to keep writing. I want to keep being involved in the communities I'm writing in, but as of right now that's something that's out of reach for me.
My goal is to try to work my way back into writing and sharing slowly. It will be very inconsistent and I feel bad about that but I can't really promise a regular presence right now.
I don't want to panic anyone about whether or not I will complete this story. This novel is already written, and I am just in the process of editing it as I post. I also love this story and have plans to expand this one novel into a series. It's not going anywhere. I'm not going anywhere. I just need a little patience as I work through my day to day life before I can turn my attention back to this book.
So basically, I'm more or less going on a hiatus that hopefully I can take small breaks from. I hope some of you will still be there when I come back.
