why is that it takes these kind of tragedies for people to realise that black lives matter. it shouldn’t take the death of a defenceless black man for people to realise that racism is still very much prevalent and fucking wrong. BLM isn’t a ‘trend’, even when this time passes and it’s less talked about in coming weeks, the injustice and fear that black people experience everyday IS NOT something that’s going to ‘pass’. as a white person i recognise the privilege that i have, and may i say WHITE PRIVILEGE DOES NOT MEAN YOUR LIFE ISNT HARD, it quite simply means that the colour of your skin isn’t one of the things making your life hard. to continue, i realise that this privilege truly gives me the power to make change so i’m using my voice to educate others on this matter and support the black people who’s voices go unheard. please sign petitions, share links and use your platform for good. BLACK LIVES HAVE ALWAYS AND WILL ALWAYS MATTER.
