Personality:  The fastest way to describe this man is that he's somewhat of an old man in a young adult's body. That being said, Christmas Island is a rather patient and open minded man with many morals. 

England refers to him as a respectful young man who pretty much follows all the rules. Though, he does think took much at times when it comes to decision making and can be too easygoing from time to time. However, there are times where Christmas Island is aloof towards others due to him being so far away from other nations. It usually takes time for him to get used to someone, so in the meantime he'll act pretty stiff. 

He is a bit addicted to gambling and drinking, but refuses to break his streak or upsetting his boss. However, he will tend to drink when upset or stressed (usually either beer, vodka, or wine). 

He doesn't show it much, but the island can be blunt/sassy about certain things keeping it behind a kind smile (ex. He once bluntly stated that England couldn't swim in front of Singapore once). 

Breaking rules is one of the things he's against due to being disciplined by Singapore when he was under his wing. He enjoys outdoor related activities; especially surfing, hiking, diving, and  swimming.
