but I feel like its important anyway. I thought about making a video essay on this since my yt channel is sitting quietly waiting for me to cook out some content like I said I was. But unpopular opinion, most people don't understand what a psychological horror is and im tired of the people who don't understand what media literacy is. This is especially tiresome when discussing TCOAAL (the coffin of andy and leyley.) Yall say its not a psychological horror and that its a dark comedy but what yall don't understand is that it is both. it details the psychological aspects of the graves siblings (hence why the dreaded Inc3st is a present theme. It focuses on their co-dependence and isolation towards others. Unhealthy behaviors and forms of abu$3 will become more present as its one, a learned skill from the others around them such as: Renee, Douglas, teachers like miss Kent, etc. and two, they've become so used to the treatment of one another they think this is how they should be treated and how they deserve to be treated even if some people such as, Andrew, believe they shouldn't be but in reality scarily okay with the treatment he is given.)
If you want me to get nerdy, Nemlei stated coffin is a "dark romance" but it subverts the unhealthy idea of dark romance into a psychological horror comedy. You guys act like Nemlei has never written edgy human before which you probably don't know because you guys have never played or watched any game plays of any other games she has made. No good Noelle, Better half? (i think thats what its called I could be wrong it could also be called other half??), etc. All discuss different relationship dynamics that dive into different themes and also have edgy humors. You guys only care because Coffin has more "problematic" elements despite the games I've mentioned before have similar elements

4/??? just like how yall portray the appearance of this conflict as something Nemlei supports. This is incorrect and a huge misunderstanding of the media she has created. Just because you write about a topic even a horrible one doesn't mean you, the author ,condone it. The creator You (the Netflix series) doesn't support the actions of the main character in fact describing him as "obsessive" and "controlling", The author of Lolita does not support Humbert Humbert and the author went out of his way to refer to Dolores as a victim (in his word, 'a poor little girl.'), asked people to not sexualize Dolores on the covers of his book (in fact asked if people can make the cover a painting of nice sky or landscape NO GIRLS!!) and also was based off his trauma with his I believe, uncle and how when he was a boy was abu$3d s3xually by him. The creator of Fear and Hunger (from what I know) doesn't support any of the mess that game is (i mean this in a good way!!) and isn't going out of their way to harm people, etc, etc. You can write an impactful piece of media and include conflicts involving triggering themes. Why do you think mouthwashing was impactful as a piece of media?? becauseeee it just was? NO! the themes stuck with them just like its characters and their depth! Slient hill 2 is regarded as great because of its psychological goodness and helped pave the way for many other psychological horrors to run and fly! I also wanna just say, horror doesn't have to be scary. Horror is meant to be consumed so the audience can feel disturbed and have to reflect not to jump out their boots. Horror is huge spectrum of things including things that make you question why you feel so ashamed, disgusted, etc. But thats all I can really say for now, I hope this can be seen and hopefully if you have questions I'll try to explain my POV. who said you get to judge people for what media they consume. Why are you mad about just one conflict when nobody is talking about other media which also discusses the same thing. Everyone was mad about Daganronpa because of its problematic themes and now Daganronpa is completely fine to like because its well written game (AT TIMES, and this is coming from a fan.) when i wanna just remind you also contains themes of: inc3st, murd3r, $a, etc. and can you guess what also does??? The coffin! Yet we judge people by calling them gooners who get a sick enjoyment out of the coffin of andy and leyley and also how they loveeee inc3st soo much! Thats not how that works?? You guys sound like those people say violence in video games makes you inherently violent yourself. Many people play GTA, FNAF, Daganronpa, etc. and yet not many people are going out there and committing the actions that the characters do or engage in. I will acknowledge that many of these fandoms including coffin have a romanticize problems when it comes to their actions and them as a character (like the 'I can fix them people' or 'he/she/they did nothing wrong.' argument.) but not all people are like that. Its like not all squares are triangles?? :/
I think its important for me to also mention the fetishization argument of liking coffin to cuz clearly yall also don't understand that part of the game either. Its not, the game warns you and tells you what your getting into, there's also psychological depth as to why it appears as again, the siblings are in a co-dependent relationship that is considered toxic!!!! meaning, they are isolated from people that could possibly help them as they are no longer at point where they believe people can help them and believe that they only have EACH OTHER. Their romantic love symbolizes a way for them to stay together almost to trap each other with the other. This is portrayed as BAD!!! (even in decay and burial.)

that are considered "problematic." speaking of problematic, if you find any of themes discussed as conflicts we shouldn't be discussing about then don't come at me and say mouthwashing and slient hill 2 are the best things in the world. You don't understand media literacy and you are clearly looking at things like "The sky is blue" and "the grass is green." I tell you right now, half the people who be talkin about coffin also can't even handle people saying Jimmy's name in mouth washing or find James act of k1ll!ng Mary as justified due to his love and sympathic nature. You don't understand how morality works either, its not just black and white. It is a spectrum of greys. You can be like James and have "good" traits but you can be a horrible person. Just like how you can appear kind, caring and patient in relationship such as Andrew Graves and the way he treated Juila but still seeped out toxic and horrible treats hence why in her letter she tells him he's missing something humans usually have because at the end of the day no matter how hard he tries to ACT like a good person, he isn't one. Just like you can remain neutrality on the morality scale even if this is a bad example, shadow the hedgehog touches on this subject in his game and it relies on you doing both GOOD and BAD actions to receive the random and horribly executed neutral actions. Shadow is neutral because while he did actions that would be considered good and bad it doesn't make him either since he isn't on anyone's side, he remains by his own path and decides to do his own thing. Im tired that people think that the coffin is one those sky is blue media, its not. You can just say you don't like how its written because its "dark edgy humor" is not for you. that's more understandable rather than saying ur mad because of the problematic aspects.
