Okay, so. Here it is. Wattpad is great, a really great platform for writers who just want to share their works with everyone. It allows for a more personal level of interaction between reader and author. The thing is, is that not a lot of people do comment or vote. And for an author, its frustrating. The content I post is mainly centered around the viewers opinion of it, especially since Ive never tried my hand at writing a story before, I have posted works based on trends. The werewolf/vampire trend. The highschool drama/ romance trend. The "chosen one" trend. Hat ive sort of lost touch of my originality; I focus too hard on fiting the norm of the trend that I seek inspiration from similar works and its become a job, not the creative outlet it once was supposed to be. And I've talked about it before, on how I dont like the direction I was taking with certain chapters bc I was trying so hard to keep people interested that I lost interest. So I think its time for a change of perspective.
I dont know if I'll delete stories or my account yet but there will be changes. I know barely anyone cares about what I write, since there is almost no followers or views that I've gotten; but for the one or two people who do even care, theres going to be changes.
